Scha¨fer, 2004), known from the rio Para´ , municipality of
Portel, Para´ state, is considered by the international
aquarium fish community as an additional undescribed
form. Nevertheless, we were unable to find recognizable
differences between L163 and Peckoltia feldbergae when
comparing the available images of that species (Schraml
and Scha¨fer, 2004); only the careful examination of living or
preserved specimens of both species will allow a conclusion
about the identity of L163.
