Basically I have instigated the process and receiving them within 10 days all going well? They arrive at there second interim station today where they will be settled and prepared for shipping to the UK.

We can never be sure until we have them and even then there will always be conflict of opinion.

Either way these are the most exciting plec to come out of SA in a long time. Once i have them I'll update the thread and hopefully have more details of them.

... do you know that it is forbidden to bring them out of brazil, even the catching and the transport in Brazil is prohibited by imprisonment and high fines?
I can't believe that your fish a reach europe, if they weren't smuggled.
I don't know if this is the right way to behave the Brazilian Administration!

that might be the real reason for some high pricing catfishes. But the common customer needs a more believable reason to be willing to pay a high price for some (beautiful) vermicular lined catfishes. Let's call this reason L236
