Farlowella mitoupibo, a new species of stick catfish from the upper Guaviare River, Orinoco basin, Colombia (Teleostei: Loricariidae)

Abstract
Farlowella mitoupibo, new species, is described from the upper Guaviare River in Colombia. It is diagnosed by the presence of a disjunct midabdominal plate series, four lateral plate series on the anterior portion of body, long snout and hexagonal anterior median lateral plates. The relationships of F. mitoupibo within the genus, and specifically with regard to species of the F. acus species group are discussed.
