I would like to share my breeding project with you of Pseudohemiodon Apithanos.
1-1,5 Years ago I was able to buy 5 females from a friend. They were part of a breeding group but sadly the two breeding males died and so he sold the remaining fish.
It took me a year to find adult males for my breeding project but in September 2014 I found some at Aqua-global. With help from a great fishy friend and my LFS I got them home to my females.
There was no chemistry between the fish, it stayed silent....
Until last week. A normal routine feed in the early morning, nothing to see. When I came home in the afternoon, there they were...eggs
They looked to be infertile....so pale. But I put them in my egg tumbler and the waiting game started.
After 24 hours the egg changed and it separated into two halves, yellow on the bottom and a clear substance on the top. In the middle was a white spot.

On day 3 I cleaned the tumbler and took some pictures of the eggs for data information. The white blotch had developed a stripe, but other then that still little to see and still in doubt... But cautiously filled with hope.

Yesterday I got the confirmation I was hoping for. The embryo was there and it moved

Just that little tail movement at the beginning of the video made my day!!
