ID Ancistrus
 

I have picture of similar Ancistrus. It was Ancistrus from one fish exhibition and the fish was labeled as "Ancistrus leucostictus".





These are other fish, they are from my friend - Ancistrus hoplogenys(?).

What kind of Ancistrus is it?

i have a Pair of Ancistrus Leucostictus.Looking exaktling like the first picture from you.The colour is looking a little bit green,and the points are small and white.Think yours must be A.Leucostictus

Ahhh, grade rumgestöbert, hatte ja meinen ersten Post vorgestern worauf keiner antwortete.
Kann mir einer paar Fakten zu dem sagen - sieht exakt aus wie meiner bzw. auch wie L182 ?!

wichtig wäre einmal zu wissen ob es einen Fundort gibt?
Ancistrus leucostictus ist aus Guyana beschrieben, von dort stammen auch meine Tiere.
Das Tier auf dem Bild sieht eher aus wie Ancistrus L 182 aus dem Rio Branco.
Aber nur anhand eines Bildes und keinen Fundort ist das nicht sicher. Viele Grüße

Ancistrus leucostictus is described from Guyana, my Ancistrus also are from there.
The Ancistrus in the picture rather looks like Ancistrus L 182 from the Rio Branco.
This isn't location for certain but only with a picture and no-one.
