Abstract:

A phylogenetic analysis is provided for representatives of more than one hundred species of the catfish family Loricariidae, including nearly all genera of the subfamilies Neoplecostominae and Hypoptopomatinae. This analysis is based on fragments of the subunit 1 of the cytochrome c oxidase gene (COI), the recombination activating genes 1 (RAG1) and 2 (RAG2), and the F-Reticulon 4 gene. We obtained an alignment of 4678 contiguous nucleotides for 136 species of 50 loricariid genera from five loricariid subfamilies, and ten outgroup species from five loricarioid families. Our results from Maximum Parsimony, Maximum Likelihood, and Bayesian analyses show the following set of interrelationships ((((Hypoptopomatinae, Neoplecostominae) Hypostominae), Loricariinae) Delturinae). However, neither Hypoptopomatinae nor Neoplecostominae were recovered as monophyletic groups. A previously hypothesized monophyly of Hypoptopomatini and Otothyrini was refuted. Furthermore, the genera Pareiorhaphis, Pareiorhina, Hisonotus and Parotocinclus were recovered as polyphyletic.

sehr interessant, besonders die Analyse der Hypostominae. Und das in einer hochrangigen Zeitschrift. Das wird Herrn Armbruster (und seinen Schülern), Scott Schaefer und Co garnicht schmecken, dass die Panaqolus und Scobinancistrus zusammen, aber meilenweit entfernt von den Panaques stehen! Vielleicht kommt ja über die Genetik auch die Einsicht! :frusty:

ja, Hypostominae war nicht der Schwerpunkt, aber ein paar Gattungen MUSSTEN einfach mit rein :)

..ich kann mir nicht helfen, aber irgendwie ist mir als würden Peckoltia, Panaqolus, Hypancistrus, Ancistomus und Scobinancistrus einen Verwandtschaftskreis bilden.. :y_smile_g

Aber das kann man doch bestimmt wegdiskutieren oder..? :mjm:

Hier findest Du im dritten Teil schon einen Ansatz.
Allerdings habe ich mittlerweile mehr Sequenzen (sowohl welche die fehlten, als auch von mehr Arten), und Edson ist dabei, alle morphologischen Merkmale zu überarbeiten und auf alle Arten der Hypoptopomatinae, die Pablo verwendet hat, anzuwenden. Ausserdem wird Lithogenes mit dabei sein! (wird aber noch ne gute Weile dauern, bis das dann alles fertig ist)

PS: Die frage war auf die Hypostominae bezogen: Mein Panaqolus-Projekt schließt auch eine Phylogenie der "Panaque-Gruppe" von Armbruster mit ein, um die Eigenständigkeit von Panaqolus zu untersuchen. Das Projekt ist aber erst ganz am Anfang...

gar kein Problem, nimm nur die Zahnform und dann wird doch klar das Panaque, Cochliodon, Panaqolus und Scobinancistrus eh alles nur eine Gattung sind :bae:

Ich bin gespannt, was als Antwort von "der anderen Seite" kommt.

@Jost: Deine Schlußfolgerung ist natürlich richtig, aber du hättest noch erwähnen können, dass diese Gattung sich Acanthicus nennt, die Übergattung quasi. ;-)
