A new species of the genus Hypostomus Lacépède (Siluriformes, Loricariidae) from rio Tocantins and rio Xingu basins in central Brazil, is described. The new species is distinguished from its congeners by a unique combination of pale blotches over a darker background on head, body and fins, and conspicuous keels on head, predorsal region and lateral plates. Comments on the pale-spotted species of Hypostomus are provided.

da ist wohl durch ein Missverständis der vorherige Thread zu dem Thema gelöscht worden, als ich etwas zur Diskussion stellen wollte, dass sich schneller erledigt hatte als geschrieben.

Was hat es mit der L161 oben auf sich?
Wurde L161 doppelt vergeben oder ähnliches?

das muss ein Fehler in der Arbeit sein, vom Autor. Jedenfalls vom Autor des Zitates.

Hypostomus faveolus ist L 37 und hat mit L 161 nichts zu tun.

hat sich erledigt, die Antwort steht zufällig in der DATZ:

... L161, eine durch Glaser & Glaser (1995) falsch für diese Art verwendete Nummer ...

Edit: ... danke Daniel. Darum war ich ja drüber gefallen: Hypostomus und Ancistomus liegen ja weit, weit auseinander.
