Das Bild von Tanja123 finde ich geil hehe. Die Garnelen sehen einfach genial aus - die schauen alle so skeptisch in die selbe Richtung! :esa:

Hallo!

Wie ist denn die Definition für Hexenwels?
Nur Rineloricaria? Oder auch Hemiloricaria?
Oder sogar alle Loricariinae? *grübel*

Das stimmt so nicht !
Hemiloricaria ist derzeit international nicht valide, ebenso wie Fonchiiichthys und Leliella. Alle 3 Gattungen gehören derzeit zur Sammelgattung Rineloricaria.
Man kann Hexenwelse in folgende Kategorien einteilen: höhlenbrütende Hexenwelse sowie maulbrütende Hexenwelse.
Zu den höhlenbrütenden Hexenwelse zählen alle Gattungen des Subtribus Rineloricariina. Zu den maulbrütenden Hexenwelsen kann man grob alle Gattungen der Subtribus Loricariichthyina, Loricariina, Pseudoloricariina zählen. Monotypische und nicht aquaristisch bekannte Arten wie z.B. Ricola macrops hab ich einfach mal außen vor gelassen.

eine Hexe aus dem Crique Maurice (Mana-Einzug in Franz. Guayana):

und noch das dazu passende Weibchen im Aquarium:

Es könnte sich um eine unbeschriebene Art handeln. Le Bail et al. nennen für den Mana River mit "Rineloricaria aff. stewarti" nur eine Art.
