Pseudohemiodon apithanos breeding

I would like to share my breeding project with you of Pseudohemiodon Apithanos.

1-1,5 Years ago I was able to buy 5 females from a friend. They were part of a breeding group but sadly the two breeding males died and so he sold the remaining fish.
It took me a year to find adult males for my breeding project but in September 2014 I found some at Aqua-global. With help from a great fishy friend and my LFS I got them home to my females.
There was no chemistry between the fish, it stayed silent....

Until last week. A normal routine feed in the early morning, nothing to see. When I came home in the afternoon, there they were...eggs

They looked to be infertile....so pale. But I put them in my egg tumbler and the waiting game started.

After 24 hours the egg changed and it separated into two halves, yellow on the bottom and a clear substance on the top. In the middle was a white spot.

On day 3 I cleaned the tumbler and took some pictures of the eggs for data information. The white blotch had developed a stripe, but other then that still little to see and still in doubt... But cautiously filled with hope.

Yesterday I got the confirmation I was hoping for. The embryo was there and it moved Just that little tail movement at the beginning of the video made my day!!

Thank you for your reply's

Day 7. Today I had some problems with the eggs.. On the right you can see an egg which has enlarged, I think it is due to osmotic pressure. On the left is a dead egg swirling but you can also see another dead larvae, it's the one with the white spot on the egg. So lost 3 larvae at this stage. One of the larvae hatched premature, my fault I guess because I rinsed the eggs out of the tumbler so I could clean it... When I put them back gently it hatched..
I did a small water change, about 25%, using warm water to refresh to keep the temperature the same. I then put a blanket on top of the tank to make it dark where the eggs are in the tumbler.
It seemed to have worked and the larvae were ok the next morning. I did another small water change today, same routine. Even the premature hatchling was doing fine and had even grown during the night! So a bit more hopeful

Day 9. The outer shell isn't very clean anymore and a little fungus has started to attach.. It's a hard job keeping eggs good for such a long time!!

Later on I went to feed the fish and noticed one of the fry had it's tail out of the shell and wiggling it hard. So I helped it out of it's eggshell.. Another premature baby Apithanos in the tumbler.
